Over the years we have met and enjoyed some wonderful guests from all around the world and I am sure you are a lovely group and we look forward to meeting you all, I know you will look after this lovely place and thoroughly enjoy your stay with us because there is nowhere like it 'staying here’ but because we run a group booking house, and not everyone in this world is as respectful and appreciative as yourselves sadly, I have to come over all ‘Fawlty Towers’ on you sorry, our insurers do ask us to send out the info below on our correspondence.
The group organiser is the person on the booking form and is responsible for all other members of the group. By booking with us you have agreed to our terms and conditions.
We always meet and greet between 5.00pm and 6.00pm or later by prior arrangement, we never leave a key as we like to meet the group organiser and run through some information you will need during your stay.
Your booking is for 11 persons max (plus two travel cots) for ’the meads’ ,3 persons max (plus two travel cots) for ‘the garden wing’ and with both properties both ‘meads’ and ‘garden wing’ 14 persons (plus two travel cots),our costings and insurance are for max, 11 or 14 persons, at any time, and only those persons booked at the property, can use the property, we do not allow persons outside of the booking group to use the property at any time, unless by prior agreement. Larger groups, and outside guests, fall into a different category of insurance and as our insurance is very strict about this we have to be also.
We make a great deal of effort to ensure that all our guests enjoy the benefits of a well run, unique and much loved property. With some help, we run it ourselves so you do get our individual attention as owners and we go the extra mile to be generous and include as many extras as we can, and that the property is always up to the standard that we would appreciate if we went to away to a self-catering property. Many ‘single group’ i.e hen, stag parties and student re-unions, have had a really great time at the property and are always welcome, however, we will not tolerate rowdy or noisy behaviour that we feel is likely to upset our neighbours or this wonderful village, we are a no pets property, no smoking and no candles property. On changeover days we check that everything in the property is working and nothing is broken, however it would help us if you do damage or break anything please let us know so that we can be sure to repair, or replace for the next guests. We do not charge for minor damage. Self-catering accommodation is expected to be left as it is found (pls don’t take off the bed linen, we will do that thanks ). What we consider to be excessive damage or cleaning will be charged at cost and if we have to refund other guests that will also be charged.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to a group and ask a group to vacate the property at any time, without refund, if our terms are not observed, the property is not being cared for, or we feel that their behaviour is inappropriate in any way.
and finally please make sure that my directions into the village have been e-mailed to the other members of your party as some sat navs take you to Ollerbrook which is something of a pain.
